How to add illustrations in Framer
Framer has no built-in illustration library, so most people export SVGs from somewhere else and paste them in. The Liniqo plugin skips that: you search, recolour and place illustrations without leaving the canvas.

Short answer: install the Liniqo plugin on the Framer Marketplace, open it from your Framer project, search for the scene you need (for example "payments" or "empty inbox"), choose an accent colour and light or dark, then click an illustration or drag it onto the canvas. It is added as a native SVG layer you can resize, position and animate like any other Framer layer. 308 illustrations are free; a license key unlocks all 2,648.
What is the Liniqo plugin for Framer?
Liniqo is a library of 2,648 hairline isometric illustrations for SaaS products, apps and websites, plus 533 interactive figures that react to the pointer. The Framer plugin puts the whole library in a panel next to your canvas, so you never download, unzip or recolour files by hand.
- Illustrations tab: search all 2,648 SVG illustrations, filter by pack, or tick Free to see only the free ones.
- Interactive tab: 533 figures that move with the cursor, added as a code component (more on that in interactive illustrations in Framer).
- Accent and theme: six accent swatches and a light or dark switch, applied before the illustration is inserted.

How do you install the plugin?
- Open the Liniqo plugin on the Framer Marketplace and click Open in Framer, or in Framer open the plugins menu and search for Liniqo.
- Pick the project you want to use it in. The panel opens at the top right of the canvas, and you can resize it.
- That is it. The free illustrations work straight away, with no account.
How do you add an illustration to a Framer page?
- Select the frame or stack where the illustration should go.
- Search in plain words: "checkout", "server rack", "team onboarding", "404". Search matches titles and tags across every pack.
- Pick an accent that matches your brand and choose light or dark to match the section background.
- Click the thumbnail to insert it, or drag it to an exact spot on the canvas.
The illustration arrives as an SVG layer named after the illustration, so your layer list stays readable. Because it is vector, it stays sharp at any size and on every screen density.
How do you match the illustration to your brand?
Every Liniqo illustration uses one accent colour on a neutral hairline drawing, so one swatch is enough to make it look on-brand. Pick the accent before you insert. For a dark hero or a dark-mode page, switch the theme to dark so lines and fills are drawn for a dark background instead of being inverted. Both choices are remembered the next time you open the plugin.
Where do illustrations work best on a Framer site?
| Section | What to search | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Hero | Your product category: "analytics", "AI chip", "logistics" | Use one large illustration, or an interactive figure |
| Feature grid | One noun per feature: "lock", "calendar", "webhook" | Keep every card on the same accent and size |
| Empty states and 404 | "empty inbox", "page not found" | Smaller, centred, with one line of copy |
| Pricing and FAQ | "coins", "support chat" | Use sparingly so the prices stay the focus |
Is it free?
Yes, to start. 308 illustrations and 26 interactive figures work with no key. To unlock the rest, buy a plan once and paste the license key into the plugin (the Unlock button at the top).
