7 best isometric illustration libraries in 2026, free and paid
Isometric illustrations are everywhere in software marketing, but libraries differ a lot in consistency, licence and price. Here are seven worth knowing, what each is best at, and how to choose.

Full disclosure first: Liniqo is our library, so it is at the top of this list. We have tried to be fair to the others, say where they are the better choice, and link to the sources for every price and licence detail at the bottom of the page. If you want the short version as a table, see our side-by-side comparison.
What makes an isometric library good
Before the list, the five things that matter most when you put illustrations into a real product, rather than one landing page:
- One consistent style. Same angle, stroke weight, light direction and level of detail across every piece. This decides whether your app looks designed or assembled.
- Coverage of your topic. A library needs pieces for your product's nouns: invoices, servers, patients, parcels.
- Dark mode. Real dark versions, not just a white background you have to remove.
- Editable colour. SVG with an accent you can change to your brand.
- A clear licence. Commercial use, attribution, client work and seats. See Illustration licences explained.

Every piece has light and dark versions, an accent and line colour you can change, and draw-on animation.

Free vs paid: what you give up
Free isometric illustrations are fine for a side project. The usual trade-offs are attribution (Icons8 and Freepik free tiers need a credit link), lower resolution or no SVG, and small coverage, so you run out of matching pieces by the fifth screen. If you just want to test a style before paying, Liniqo has 308 free illustrations with no attribution, drawn in the same style as the paid set.
How to choose in 10 minutes
- List the ten screens or sections that need an illustration.
- Search each library for those ten nouns.
- Put the results side by side. Do they look like one artist drew them?
- Check dark versions and colour editing.
- Read the licence for your use: own product, client work, team size.
That last check is the one most people skip, and the one that matters most later.
Questions
What is the best isometric illustration library?
For one consistent isometric style across a whole product, with dark mode and editable colour, Liniqo is built for that job. For the widest variety of styles and asset types, IconScout. For free isometric graphics with a credit link, Icons8.
Where can I get free isometric illustrations?
Liniqo has 308 free isometric illustrations with no attribution. Icons8 and Freepik have free isometric graphics that require a link or credit. SVGOwl has free isometric icons; some packs need attribution.
Are isometric illustrations good for SaaS?
Yes. They explain systems, data and devices clearly, scale from small empty states to large heroes, and avoid the representation questions that character illustrations raise.
Can I mix isometric libraries?
You can, but angles, stroke weights and detail levels usually differ between sources, so the mix shows. Keep one library for product screens.
